Fabrication of Modular Fire Barrier

  1. Tube steel framing sized to frame and support each 3DF2 panel
  2. Typically the tube steel frames are designed to H/120 for wind loading. Tubing is typically 1.8" or 14 gauge depending upon specific requirements. All welding and fabrication is performed and the frames are then hot dipped, galvanized inside and out.

  3. Mouting of 3DF2 panels to frames.
  4. 3DF2 panels are secured to the frames with #12-24 x 1 1/2 buildex tek5 screws placed on 10" centers at 1" from each panel edge.

  5. Structual support steel.
  6. Support steel is typically designed for wind load deflection of H/240. All fabrication is performed on the vertical and horizontal support steel and then hot dipped galvanized.
